MUST GO! Warm Clothing - Warmer Reception & Atmosphere!
Jun 2017 • Family
Alessandra helped us navigate our way through the incredible array of finely-knit options to select some truly choice pieces, which will help keep my daughter warm when she heads to a cold-weather University in the fall. Colors, textures, and selection are truly amazing for a shop of this size. Further, when we found a scarf that we liked but could not locate a coordinating hat, Alessandra called her mom and they agreed to make one for us ASAP! Rarely, if ever, have we experienced such amazing customer service. When we got back to our vacation rental, we told everyone about this amazing shop. It was the highlight of our visit to Montepulciano and definitely at the top of the clothing shopping list for our visit to Italy. MUST GO!

Loved this shop and everything in it!

This shop is a must-visit when you're in the lovely hill town of Montepulciano. The fabrics are exquisite and the place is a riot (in the best possible way) of colors and textures. You will find something for yourself and great gifts to bring home... Bellisima!

Great (really, really, really) shop.
Sep 2016 • Friends
Love, love LOVED everything about this shop. Colors. Textures. Fabrics (linen, mohair, cashmere...!) . Styles. And exceptional quality in all items. This is a family- owned and run business that cares about its customers and merchandise. The woman in the store was incredibly helpful and patient ... She has an incredible eye for what looks good and is fashionable. Highly recommend !

Wonderful selection, high quality
Apr 2016 • Couples
My wife and I stumbled upon this shop. She is a knitter and was quickly drawn to the large selection and high quality of these handmade local items. It was by far the nicest shop of this type we found on our trip. While I normally don't rate shops this was stood out and deserved a comment. If you are looking for this type of gift or for yourself it is worth your time

Beautiful Store
Sep 2015 • Couples
The quality of the items here far surpass anything we have found so far. The proprietress was very friendly and was excellent at putting together an outfit complete with her handmade pins. The true Italian style is evident here and only wish I could find more to fit into my suitcase from this wonderful shop.

UNIQUE, BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED CLOTHING-NOT TO MISS
Jun 2015 • Friends
Rosella is the owner-craftswoman, With her daughters and husband, she designs and makes all of the beautifully-colored stoles, sweaters, neck-warmers, whatever---pure Italian cottons, cashmeres, wools, the multi-colored yarns from all over Italy, very well priced, lots of fun to look and wear. Rossella also travels to the Como textile areas to bring back gorgeous, big pure Italian silk scarves/stoles that would cost a fortune in a Rome or Milanese boutique. In sum, unique, not to miss, old-style craft at its best.

Rude owner/shopkeeper
May 2015 • Couples
My boyfriend's mother loves this store, so I imagine she had a completely different experience than my mother and I did. I previously went last year with my boyfriend. The older female owner never spoke to me, but seemed to enjoy speaking in Italian to my boyfriend. We entered the shop without any salutations, which is not a big deal. It was completely empty. No customers. I'm traveling to Puglia next week and wanted a new hat for the ocean. She had many options, but when I started to try them on, she snapped at me and told me I wasn't allowed to try them on. You obviously cant buy a hat without trying it on. We left immediately. She doesn't seem to enjoy foreign customers and I imagine the reason my boyfriend's mom had a good experience was through my boyfriend's presence. I would not recommend this store to anyone. The product is okay,
but nothing I'd write home about. The terrible service forced me to write this review.

A True Boutique
Nov 2013 • Friends
I cannot rave enough about Mimi E Coco (named in honor of the owner's parents) - a boutique with the most incredible women's (mostly) knits and textiles - scarves, sweaters, jackets, hats. Mimi E Coco designs their own fabrics and creates their own styles. The fabrics are lush (wools, cashmere, silk), the colors are gorgeous and the clothes are displayed with panache. It's a relatively small store and the more you explore, the more you discover. You won't find the merchandise anywhere else, so take advantage of being there.

When we were there in November, the owner did an extraordinary job of puling things together with complementary pins and other accessories made by a neighboring shopkeeper. My only regret is that they don't have a website from which I can order more from (the site merely has some pictures but no shopping cart-HINT) - means a trip back to Montepulciano (probably not the worse thing in the world).
