Another gem in this incredible archeological site of Paestum. Impressive temple, very well preserve in a great quite and ample location. I would say it could rival the Parthenon in Athens

A very beautiful place we visited under the rain, almost alone 😊 peaceful and quiet without the hords of tourists.... 2000 years of history that we highly recommend.

I'm not going to say to much about the baths outside the temple. That may offend some. Parts of the inner sanctuary even has remains. Nothing remains of the altar barring the platform it was built on. A good example of a Greek Temple.

Loved it because there was no one else. It was a peaceful and beautiful walk. I can't think of another place that allows people to walk inside of the temples.

I had never heard of this place, I found it by accident whilst driving along the ss18, Its predates the Greek examples and is wonderfully looked after, if you have good legs I recommend walking around the wall (quite a Distance) and then a trip...More

Just had 2 nights in Salerno, spotted Paestum on a review, hadn't heard of it before, checked out the train times, check them carefully, slightly limited. Definitely worth spending several hours there. Museum good to look round first, then a good walk and lots of...More

Last year I came for an afternoon this year for two nights. I can't get enough of these 2,500 year old treasures.

We had a day to fill and the receptionist at the hotel suggested we visited Paestum with Goldentours to round off our cultural highlights. It was a easy pick up, a long drive back towards Naples (avoiding the traffic jams where possible). The guide was...More
