Lots of great animals in A beautiful setting. I didn't give it a 5 because it would have been nice to have more animal shows or interaction with the animals. I think this was off season so there may be more of that in the summer months! My girls (ages 5/9) loved this zoo and enjoyed the playground. All employees... More

It was one of the worse zoos I have ever been to. The cages were tiny and smelly.it was a long way from Florence and definitely not worth the trip.i read the reviews before going and couldn't believe I was in the same place I read the reviews from.

Dear Marie J, we're sorry you find the zoo so bad. The distance from Florence is forty minutes by car and an hour by train more or less. We've a lot of visitors that comes also from longer distances. Your review is only based on impressions; to improve the quality of the garden (according to your review...) we would appreciate... More

Nice zoo. Some enclosures felt a little small. Fun being able to interact with elephants and giraffes. Highlight for my son the baby goats. Missed seeing the wolves, not sure if they were even there. Great that you can picnic, very nice playground. Saw the zookeeper talk with parrots which was entertaining (only in italian)

This was an excellent trip. It was my wife, my 20month son and I. The park has lots of shade, a good range of animals (lion, bear, tiger, elephant, giraffe, etc). The enclosures seemed a decent size and the animals happy(to my untrained eye). The park is small enough that it is a comfortable size to walk around but as... More

This was a nice & pleasant place to visit which offers a nice ambience for the various animals which are hosted in it! The animals seem to be very well kept & the giraffe & elephants were very friendly too!! Hehe!! The place seems to be family run and the staff are very jolly & helpful!! Definitely a place worth... This is a great little zoo to spend a few hours at. Lots of variety of animals - lions, tigers, reptiles, elephants, giraffes, hippos, plenty of monkeys, and a farmyard area. Decent kids playground and cafe, plus several picnic areas. Given the Tuscan sun, it's also great that the vast majority of the zoo is shady. Nice destination for kids... More

Lovely walk in the zoo that is stroller friendly. We went on a Monday ....few people, free parking. There are some areas under construction for the Penguins but overall great outing especially the Tibetan panda area and central playground. Zoo keepers should take more care of maintenance as trash cans were rather full probably a result of more flow over... More
