We went on an English tour of the underground hospital tunnels. We have a 5, 7 and 18 year old and everyone loved it! A must see if you are visiting this wonderful town.

13th century hospital which stayed working till 2013. Beautifull medical school which operated till 1844 and an interseting underground tour. English spoken.

Unfortunately I could not enter inside the Ospidale and the Pistoia Sotteranea was fully booked, but seeing the perfect architectural composition of the facade was enough to make the visit worth it. The cherry on the cake is the marvelous ceramic freeze on the facade...More

For art lovers the facade with equisite paintings is worth a few minutes to admire. Pistoia Sotteranea tours commence in this building as well - which we didn´t explore.

For 9 euro we had the guided tour of the labyrinth. I think it was less than an hour, and the guide was excellent, and gave a basic overview of how the building was used initially, recently, through the labyrinth and explained how and why...More
