For visitors to Portovenere this is a must see, both for its interesting rambling architecture that looks like it blends church and fortress and watchtower. Constructed over several hundred years, it evokes the many centuries of maritime history centered around the port and surrounding areas. The church is still in use, and while we were there we were able to... More

Nice walk out on to the headland from village takes you up on to the headland where this little church is perched. Great views of the coastline & also good to do at night Church has some interesting features - preserved floor & intricate door.

This is just another of the many amazing historical places in the beautiful town of Portovenere. The interior is breathtaking and then walk up the hill from town through the castle and the ancient remnants of the old church are just beautiful. Especially amazing is the picture of the "white madonna". A beautiful story that she rose from the sea.... More

After walking through the main street of Porto Venere, we came to this lovely church perched on a promontory not far from the castle on the hill above the city. Stunning location! As we climbed the steps toward it, we could hear harp music coming from a musician sitting outside in the shade of the walls. The doors of the... More

Worth a visit, there are stunning views from the church. Very simple inside but I think that's why I liked it do much. The church has an amazing main door with all the Apostles on it.

It is a lovely little church at impressive location. From the church you have a great view on Palmaria island and the Doria castle. A must see in Portovenere!

We did visit this church at a busy time as it was bulk wedding afternoon. Out with the married couple and in with the next bride and groom. It is beautify church for what we could observe and the views form outside are stunning along the coast. Constructed from local marble and timbers.

The location where this church is found is simply impressive since one can see really amazing panoramic views and even the interior of this church despite being small is really beautiful. From this church one can take really good photos from every point one can imagine and it is a must see attraction in my opinion.

The black and white churches of the region are memorable. This one has the benefit of a superb location close the sea. Well worth the small walk from town to have a look around.

A must see when in Portoverne. Very ornate doors! Great views! Caution the steps are rather slippery - seems could be precarious if wet!
