We spent several days in Positano and we just went to be beach for a walk and to take pictures as it is colorful, picturesque and beautiful but we didn’t use, even if it was hot, it because it is full of stones. Anyway, this...More

The beach is run as a 'beach club' meaning you check in at the covered kiosk and pay. At 20 euros per chair we found it pricy just to secure a lounger. We swam in the ocean there and it's really something to swim out...More

In this small beach we can find some boats and a place to rest and bathing in the cold waters of the tirrenian sea. From the grey and thick sand, we have one of the best views of the city.

Visit Spiaggia Grande, rent a boat here, maybe enjoy a cafe or restaurant, but don't even bother swimming here. Walk 500m north and swim at Spiaggia Fornillo.

A beautiful scene, black volcanic pebble beach with the picturesque town of Positano in the background. Every view, every turn is like looking at a postcard.

The entire Amalfi Coast isn't about beaches, but about stunning scenery, landscapes, hidden places, towns cut into the mountains. In that way don't take this beach as a place where you'll spend a whole day for several reasons. It's very overcrowded, despite its name Grande,...More

I found Spiaggia Grande Beach to be both expensive and crowded! Lounge chairs were 17.50 Euros a piece and that was not even for front row chairs (those were 20 Euros). You must have flip flops or water shoes, as the beach is extremely rocky...More

Seriously, this place is uncomfortably crowded with mostly inebriated young adults obsessively taking selfies. Seeing this narcissistic charade soured our experience immediately. We've been to 20+ Italian cities/towns in the past 3 years and have never seen anything so ridiculous. The beach media if full...More

The above person is correct. There is a podium that has 2 persons there to check you in. I believe that its 8 euro per person for a chair. Bring your towel from your hotel and you're set. It's worth it!
