Although when we visited there was a film crew, they still allowed us in which was nice. The ceiling frescoes are very impressive and there are beautiful stained glass windows. No photos are allowed inside. The outside pulpit is in wonderful condition, and so decorated!...More

Admittance to the cathedral is free but you need to get a ticket at the duomo museo to see the frescoes. Also the frescoes are not open all the time. For instance today (Sunday) they didnt open until 3pm. Some fabulous sculptures/architecture in any case.

It was a rainy Sunday when we arrived to town. We walked town the streets and found this nice cathedral. Recommended for those who is interesting in architechture and religious buildings

A lovely Tuscan cathedral, definitely worth the trip. Prato has a smallish historical center, easy to walk.
