A great example of the Baroque style of building. Very ornate. A lot of gold leaf. We went in the morning so it was not crowed but as we were leaving a bus full of tourists arrived.

At first I thought, "Oh NO" another church? However, this was special because someone was getting married while we visited.

In line with Modica and Noto this is another of the grand baroque churches built by Rosario Gagliardi after the devastating earthquake of 1693 destroyed large parts of all three towns. It has a beautiful facade facing down to the main, pedestrianized square of the...More

On a hot afternoon, there isn't any better way to have a quick rest than to go & spend a bit of time in the Duomo to enjoy the cool, quiet atmosphere and to drink in the wonderful aesthetics.

The view of the Duomo in the setting sun from across the village is beautiful. We did not go in, but did enjoy the bells ringing in the evening, while sitting down on the square having an icecream.
