Stunning views and statuary.

We enjoyed the terrace with its gorgeous views and modern sculpture. Not so happy to be charged to visit an empty auditorium so we didn't go inside. No refreshments available here... read more

Love Oscar Niemeyer, modernist hero. Unfortunately, this isn't one of his best numbers. Amazing position perched precariously on the side of the hill next to Ravello. Worth a few minutes to admire the view from the courtyard but the poor Oscar has completely turned the building away from the vista inside......

The Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer gave the project of this auditorium as a gift to the splendid town of Ravello. It is located in the beautiful Villa Rufolo where usually there's an amazing series of concerts (classical music) during the months of July and August, usually played with the orchestra "Suspended" on the sea, between sea and sky, at night.... We enjoyed the terrace with its gorgeous views and modern sculpture. Not so happy to be charged to visit an empty auditorium so we didn't go inside. No refreshments available here as both cafes were shut (in October).

We were blessed to arrive in Ravello in time to attend the final performance of the Festival! Walking to the auditorium, enjoying the summer evening and coastal views, was a treat in itself. The design of the auditorium is sheer Niemeyer; the acoustics are spectacular; every seat offers an unobstructed view of the performers.

This is a terrible building that does not fit in here. Starts to show some very unpleasant patina. We did not attend an event. The exposition in the garden was nice.

Cantilevering the stage and seating the patrons on/in the hillside was an inspiration. Whether you'll like the performance, you'll probably love the stage.

We had booked for the French National Orchestra concert at villa rufolo outdoors but poor weather caused relocation to the auditorium, wonderful indoors, soft comfy seats and good legroom, good acoustics and orchestral music incredible. strolled outside and through the sculptures on the terrace, night lights of villages below and a full moon rising!Short walk back not Ravello centre. Came here... More

Firstly, we purchased two OneSense tickets from the Duomo for €12, which covered three attractions - Villa Ruffolo, Villa Cimbrone and the Auditorium only to find we did not need a ticket to enter the Auditorium, hence ripped off €6 by a church. Last time I visited the Auditorium, there was several levels that one could access, however on this... More

The grounds at night are a strange yet beautiful mix of modern and ancient. We saw a concert there and the sound was fantastic. The view at sunset is stunning. Its an experience that's not for everyone but...if you want something totally different ask your concierge to book tickets to see a performance. There are usually shared taxi rides back... More

It sort of looks out of place, perched on the edge of the mountain amidst the medieval backdrop but, in its own way, it's quite a beautiful building. We didn't get to see a concert, but we managed to watch a dance rehearsal (which was free!). I can imagine that open air concerts on the terrace outside must be quite... More
