The villa was recommended by the tour guide. The 3 things to look out for was the stage, the gardens and villa. The view behind the stage was excellent, the view of Amalfi coast. The gardens are just average, undergoing some construction. The rooms in the villa had no explanation. The museum was closed. It cost 7 euro to visit... More

If it wasn't part of an organized tour I'm not sure I would have taken the time to tour this villa. The old pizza oven was interesting as well as the pretty large garden. The view is dramatic of the Amalfi coast.

A former noble property with a beautiful house and glamorous gardens. A special place for a romantic evening.

The Villa Rufolo is not as large as the Villa Cimbrone, but the views over the Amalfi are just as dramatic. It has its own style of charm. If you are in Ravello it is probably one of the main reasons you are there. It is where one of the iconic pictures for the Amalfi Coast is taken (the pine... More

Other than the iconic photo spot of the tree and view to Minori, Villa Rufolo was very disappointing. The gardens were small and construction scaffolding and neglect were apparent. The arboretum gardens at home are much better than this. I wish we had chosen to go to Villa Cimbrone instead, though we did get the famous photo shot.

Gardens very well kept and beautiful. Worth watching video as you go in it's very interesting and gives the history of the Villa. Good hike up the tower but worth it when you get to the top

Lovely spot for an hour or so stroll through the various sections of the old villa and, particularly, the gardens of the property. Beautiful views out to the sea and a number of tucked away nooks in which to take a seat and enjoy a quiet moment. Relatively quiet when we visited which was just the ticket. Suggest visiting this... We had this place recommended, but it was very disappointing. Everything seems to be very poor maintained, the flowers were not nice and the views was soiled by scaffolding. If you are not very interested in the history of the place, and more interested in views and nice gardens, Villa Cimbrone is much better. Not worth the entrance fee

Our first stop on arriving in Ravello ... stunning gardens and views ... we want to return for one of the festivals/concerts at some time in the future.
