One day good one day horrible

Avoid southeast station,
The old guy there is always grumpy and even rude.
He refuses to let us go for 2 hours in despite a reservation, assuming that we will pay for the all day…
By the way, he doesn’t speak any foreign language.
West station looks much much greater. Guys here are very kind.

OK, but inspect bike and pay attention to details before heading out.
Jan 2020
We rented two ‘cruiser’ bikes in late January, during the off-season and were the only customers at the time. The staff were pleasant though there’s no attention to detail regarding the sizing of the bike, its condition, or what to do in case of breakdown. We easily adjusted the seat height ourselves but the tires were severely under-inflated, to the point where one rear tire went completely flat after about 6 km. Luckily there was another rental location a km or so ahead but while open it was unstaffed. Luckily a waitress from the adjacent cafe came out and swapped the bike for another with (somewhat) better inflation. I would consider renting here again but would carefully inspect the bikes before heading out. Also don’t forget to ask for a lock if you plan on stopping for a walk or refreshments.

Tandem
Jun 2018 • Couples
We rented tandem for a couple of a hours and drove with it around the coastline. First bike was a little bit broken so after two hundread meters drove back and changed it. You can even return the bike in another (same company) renting point paying +2€. I dont know it works cause the renting point took my ID and got it back after returning bike. Would give 5 stars but the service aint the best...

Good Bikes, So So service
Sep 2017 • Couples
We rented two "City" (cross) bikes from the Vecchia Stazione stop and rode south towards Imperia. A casual half day 60 km round trip ride along an excellent paved bikeway running over an abandoned coastal railway. kilometer long tunnels and all. The bikeway runs out at the San Lorenzo Station about two thirds of our way towards the town of Imperia and the city bikes were not the best match with the traffic on the busy, narrow, coastal highway. We stopped in Borgo Prino at a beach café for a drink and headed back. The bikes were in good shape and available in tall sizes. Luckily I can scrap by with a decent amount of bike centered Italian because the attendant claimed not to understand any English, French, German nor Russian. Odd given the makeup of the summer tourist groups. He was otherwise pleasant and the price was reasonable

Terrible customer service!!!!
Sep 2017 • Friends
Today I came with my friend to rent two bicycles. The rental point was suddenly closed (but we came in working hours), may be because it was raining before. We called the telephone that was written in front of the rental point. The lady answered that it must be open and the man should be there. We were waiting and looking for the man. After 5 minutes he arrived and was VERY VERY VERY RUDE!!! He was not alone, but with the young man and they both began to scandalize. Also they told that they will not give us bicycles, because we complained by the telephone!!!! I started to take photos and video of their scandal, rude service and refusal to provide us with the bikes and the young man almost lay hands on me, he threw my telephone on the ground and used foul language. Extremely bad experience!!!!
It is possible to put my video here, but here are some photos.

A great way to see the coast
Aug 2017 • Couples
To drive this coast would be so busy and you would never see half the things you want to. We cycled, from Ospedaletti, all the way to the end, and back and it took us most of the day. We stopped a few times to buy lunch and for refreshments. We wanted to go to the beach, so dropped our bikes off at the end hire point and collected them before cycling back. The staff were very helpful. It is a long route, and there wasn't much shade, only a few cooling tunnels. This is a good activity for anyone who lives to be a little more active on holiday. For 16 euro each for the full day was a bargain.

Don't hire from the Nolobici at Piazzale Carlos Dapporto branch
Aug 2017 • Family
There are different branches, Sud-Est was extremely helpful, the branch we used by Piazzale Carlos Dapporto was very unhelpful. Bikes are not well maintained, we hired four bikes, one tyre had a bulge and after cycling for 7km it suddenly exploded, we could easily have been badly injured. We started walking back, having to carry mountain bike as tyre was half on half off. It was stressful as we had kids with us. A very nice employee from Sud-East passed by and offered to fetch a new bike, thank goodness. When we finally got back to the original hire place the man said he couldn't understand and was not least apologetic or sympathetic and still charged us for going over the 2 hour limit. He refused to telephone the other branch for an explanation as agreed, and told us it was our fault for not speaking Italian.

unfriendly service
Jul 2017 • Family
we rented 4 bikes first week of July. The guy from the rental place promised us we could change bikes or have it repaired in every service center form their company along the road. We tried this at the service center in San Remo because the pedal was broken but were being treated in a very rude and unpleasant way. The guy first alopst refused to get up from his chair and then started swearing at at us in Italian, he even made it obvious that we should learn to peak his language. Not a pleasant experience at all, he ruined te rest of our tour. We told the first person when we returned our bike and he told us, it was the husband of the owner. We were good enough to collect our money, but not to treat us in a friendly manner...

Brakes failed, bad service, don't hire from here!
Mar 2017 • Friends
If you want a good racer bike that works then don't hire from this place. We were a group of 8 riders. Bikes were of an below average standard. We had planned a mountain trip. Headed up the coast and after 10km and at the first descent, 3 of the brake pads on my bike flew off. It's was just good luck that I managed to keep control of the bike and stop safely. An inspection of the bike showed that the brakes had been mounted incorrectly upside down, so the pads were not secured. Should have checked, but it wasn't so easy to see that they were incorrectly mounted. When reported to the cycle company I got told to return 3km to nearest repair shop. I walked back along the coast, it was more than 3km! Too late to continue the trip, so day ruined. Lucky, it could have ended much worse.

Rent wheels
Aug 2016 • Family
If your after a bike, tandem or a quadricycle they should have you covered. I got mine at Ospedaletti. It is reasonably priced and they can be found all along the cycling path.

Tip: if you get them at Ospedaletti, bring a light jacket. You'll have to cycle through a fairly long tunnel and the temperature will drop significantly.
