When in Terracina the Old Town is a must. Tight alleys, small restaurants and old Roman ruins. Bring water if you plan to visit between 13.00-17.00 because of the siesta.

The old town was really nice and quiet during the siesta. Nice looking restaurants and ice cream and coffee bars around the area.

It was quite good to walk around Old Town in a Sunday and sunny morning. You have the opportunity to see the way of life there, enjoy a espresso and find excellent options for great camera shots.

A lovely area to eat in the evening, with a couple of really excellent restaurants. Terracine is popular with Italians but you won't find many English/German/Russian tourists so it's a great place to visit for a sense of real Italy.

Terracina has a very nice old town and it is not too touristy. Very interesting buildings and lots of friendly people. Very good ice cream at the church!

Lots of old buildings, but go on Thursday because the biggest open air market in Italy hits town that day with loads of fantastic bargains..and don't be afraid to barter...all the latest fashions from Rome at half the prices if you do barter !

Alta Terracina is the old Terracina and it a masterpiece of preRoman and Medieval architecture. Step back in time and walk up and down the narrow streets. Nothing bigger than a small Fiat would fit through some of the streets. I have been back many...More
