The Alps and the lake combine to create a micro climate that is suitable for a wide range of plants. The topography of the site shows off this diverse collection. And the snow capped Alps serve as the backdrop. The paths and sections are well marked and signed, as are the significant specimens. The garden is divided into twelve sections... More

Spent an afternoon here, there is a self guided tour around the grounds which takes in all the beautiful gardens. Its easy to walk around, and I guess it changes all the time with the 4 seasons. There is a restaurant at the entry point and free car park. From flowers, large trees to water falls rest areas and Lilly... More

Gorgeous gardens on the shore of Lago Maggiore. Well worth stopping in Verbania just to see the gardens and the villa as well.

Took me 45 mins to climb uphill to reach from pallanza ferry station Park is large – requires 2hrs to walk through Gardeners are pruning & working. There is a memorable sculpture of a fisherboy facing the Alps & terraced gardens Profusion of colours with –white, pink, purple, red flowers & Autumn foliage very enjoyable gardens to walk through

The most beautiful public gardens I have ever visited. I spent an afternoon there, and wished I could have spent more days there, as I only managed to visit about a quarter of the garden. As well as the trees and other plants, the views are amazing, and the place is immaculately cared for. Absolutely FAB!

Even in the early fall, in the rain, this garden provided a pleasant visit. The dahlia garden was spectacular with so many varieties of different shapes, sizes and colours--a feast for the eyes. The greenhouse boasted lily pads and the meandering paths leading to the ponds were tranquil. Different seasons would provide views of different flowering blooms. Many shrubs and... More

It is in verbania, short drive from Stresa. The garden is huge, beautiful walk, amazing floral displays, beautiful plants and trees from all over the world. One of the nicest gardens that I have ever seen in my life. A great day of meditation and enjoying the plant life .

We were staying in Stresa so visited by boat. As it was late in the season (October) the boats no longer ran to the park so we alighted at Pallanza and rented bikes (for €3) from the tourist information at the port. It would only take about half an hour to walk to the park and it would have been... More

Just imagine walking in an Italian garden while there's Vivaldi's Four Seasons on a playback. Literally, they play the iconic composition there from a wisely hidden transmitters in the trees. Such a joy and marvel. A perfect place to remind yourself that you are on a vacation. Plus, if you reaally like something and your Customs Office allows it, you... More

An optional excursion on a package tour of the Italian Lakes and well worth the afternoon we spent there. The gardens are very tranquil and beautifully laid out, making for a lovely, relaxing half day out.
