Nice Beach with interesting geology

Read about this beach and wanted to see it. The rock is an amazing pinnacle pointing to Vieste. The strata on the pinnacle and surrounding rock face is very clear.

An interesting story to this limestone pillar at the end of the main beach, there is a small garden between it and the road. Not suitable or safe to climb.

Good for a visit to see the big stone and a different view of Vieste, but the sea and the beaches are better off the lungomare Europa

We stopped to see the rock, it was OK, smaller than we expected and a bit dirty around it. The beach was long and clean though and very few people on it. Nice view of Vieste from it too.

This iconic monument jutting out of the sea is an amazing marker on an amazing beach. We loved the experience and plan on coming back for the sun and water in future vacations.

Every year on the patron saint's day there is a horse race on this beach. The event is welcomed and followed by locals and many tourists go and see it. We were there by chance and enjoyed the atmosphere, the crowd was disciplined and motivated. We had already been to the place in summer, the water is clean and you... More

I have visited this beach often since the late sixties and it is always a marvel to behold the giant limestone monolith commonly known as the Pizzomunno. The summer months are the warmest months to visit and naturally the busiest. If you just want beach time, stay at one of the nearby hotels and avoid the hassle of driving back... More

The beach is nice but could be cleaner. Behind the stone people trash plastic bags and empty cans which is bad for the environment. Water temperature is very nice. I was there in September so probably in summer exist more activity (water sports etc). Great view to town from down.

We enjoyed this beach it was clean and the water was lovely. The sand was soft and excellent for walking and the backdrop was an old italian town on a cliff.
