It lies on the edge of the Carpathian foothills by an old trade route...it became a fortress in the 17thC to guard against entry from the Turks. 18thC it was transformed into a palacial residence.

This estate is worth visiting. The Castle contains the most interesting objects.The interior is breath taking. Visit the pristine gardens and an interesting collection of coaches in the stables.
