Words fail me. Just moving. Another example of the damage done by war. May all those brave soldiers RIP.

Our family (two children ages 10 and 12) visited as part of our experience of WWII sites in Normandy. We read many of the gravestones together, and took time to remember the fallen soldiers. It was a moving experience.

Very quiet, moving, peaceful war cemetary in a lovely setting that serves the fallen well. The unifying environment where all soldiers are laid to rest with equal headstones are a reminder that we are all equal in the end.

The Canadian Cemetery is run by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and sits on land given by the French people. It is quiet, and not overly large. But read the gravestones. And notice how the approach is shaded by maple trees. A lovely tranquil spot.

Like any other War Memorial it is a very emotional place to visit. We visited on the 73rd Anniversary of the D-Day Landing, when thousands of brave men risked their lives and some gave the ultimate sacrifice. A very moving place indeed this day, with...More

Cycled from Bayeaux to this beautifully maintained memorial. Quiet and serene. Would recommend for all to demonstrate the sacrifice of so many young lives.
