One of the most special remotely located Canadian world war 2 memorial sites in the Normandy area. You are moved by the significance of the contribution of Canada immediately with a huge Canada flag painted on the parking lot beside the cemetery. If you are Canadian and planning a tour of this region as part of a world war II... More

A beautiful cemetery, so well kept by the grounds staff. Had trouble locating, so could do with wider signposting in the area. What a wonderful memorial.

We took our time and read them all. Unbelievably touching to see that number of boys and young men lost in the prime of their lives. We were struck by how many different areas of the country were represented, and by the familiarity of the names.

Salute to our Allies Canada! They accounted for less than 10% of Allied D-Day forces and were given one of the toughest missions: take out the Germans at Couselle Sur Mar and capture this vital port city. The deeply dug in and defended Germans killed over 2,000 Canadian Infantrymen & Mechanized soldiers in the attack; but the indefatigable men fought... More

It's a very moving place and I could not stop my tears while visiting this cemetery. It's very touching. The place is so well kept, manicured lawn, flowers. Who ever keeps it does a very good job. I was very glad to see a group of 20 something young Canadians visiting the cemetery at the same time and paying respect... More

The cemetery is a manicured piece of land "out in the country." As you enter the cemetery you pass between two "towers" which have observation decks. One of the "towers" contains an exhaustive list of those who died, rank, where they are from and their burial location in the cemetery (go "inside" the lower level of the tower and look... More

A great memorial to the Canadian soldiers who fell during the Normandy invasion. A must see for any Canadians who are visiting the area.

We stopped there on our way from Paris to Mt St Michel, after visiting the Memorial of Caen. The place is beautiful and well maintained. We took time to read the messages on the tombstones and it was deeply moving. Some of the men there were as young as 19 years old. We could feel the pain of the families... More

Having visited the American Cemetery and being dismayed with it's Disney-style atmosphere, I was very pleased with our visit to the Canadian War Cemetery. Beautiful grounds and such a respectful atmosphere. I was very moved during my time there. Take some time to read the epitaphs - you really get a sense of the sacrifice made by these courageous men... More

Just to be in this (now) peaceful place is a tribute to those ou gave their lives for or freedom. It's stunning to read the inscription and seeing there was so many young man. At the entry there is a list of all brave soldiers who are there for eternity. And, people of Reviers are son friendly canadian visitors.
