Clearly marked swimming areas, water quality, waste management… you will know it all ! With water that reaches 23ºC in the height of summer, it is a privileged spot for families who seek plenty of space and safety. It is also a good choice for novice and seasoned surfers in search of sensations. The beach attendants propose facilities such as tent and deckchair hire and beach clubs for children. The beach of Hendaye offers bathing water quality A for several years.

Hendaye is a small town on the ocean, right near the border between France and Spain. There's a long beach where people practice surf, or bodyboard or simply chill in the Sand. Bars and restaurants are on southside of the beach, where the town is.

Lovely beach. A lot of surfers. Great waves and a long long boulevard to walk on. Bus stop at 'grand plage'.

2 kilometers of beach, sand, waves, boulevard with plenty of parking (if you are on time, esp sundays are busy), possibilities for surfing. We have been sevetal years here and will certainly return.

The beach at Hendaye, is great, plenty of space for everyone. Very clean. The waves can be strong, as I found out when I got knocked off my feet. The waves seem to be smaller the closer you get to the port side of town.

We were expecting Biarritz to be similar to Le Touquet....elegant and very French! It MIGHT have been very French but it wasn't particularly elegant! Yes, it has two wide beaches, lots of surf and surfers but no feel of the elegance we were hoping for!...More
