A perfect visit in a cloudy Sunday afternoon in November. The place was pretty empty but the sea very available to offer all the activities. For people not well versed in the world of sailing and for the young, the cité de la voile offers a fantastic 2-3 hour learning journey. The aficionados will most likely leave knowledge hungry. Having... More

We visited the large and impressive building on the sight of the WW2 German submarine pens. We were encouraged to buy an all inclusive ticket for the Submarine attraction too but we had seen that last year. The cost was €12 for the museum only which was OK as you can also get up close to 2 Pen Duick yachts... More

This museum is well worth a visit for anyone interested in sailing and the sea. The focus is partially on an interactive display of modern yacht sailing and there are plenty of things to actually 'play' with from sails and ropes through having a go at controlling a radio controlled yacht on an indoor pool. The second part of the... More

The Eric Tabarly Museum holds a fantastic treasure trove of interactive displays, media, objects and photos which all take you into the wet and wild world of sailing. We spent a wonderful half day there and loved visiting his iconic sailing yachts docked along the pier as well.

I was impressed by the way they did this place. It is situated in the old sub-marine base. One of the things which impressed me a lot are the photo collages with hundreds of photos of famous sailors...

This is very well done and worth a visit. There are displays, movies more importantly lots of hands on activites - you can rig a sail, play with radio control boats, interactive sailing racing games, 3d cinema. Great fun for everyone!

We visited with my son. It's 15EUR for an adult. Kinda expensive. Kids under 6 go for free. This was our second option as we couldn't get into the submarine museum. My son liked it, because he could play with a boat in water, but for someone who knows nothong aboit sailing (like me), a guide qould be helpful. Like.this... More

We are delighted that your son appreciated his visit. We would like to clarify that the adult pass is 12€. In addition, during your visit, you could enjoy the translation into English and German of every media visit. More

Guided tours available. Highly educational and lots of fun. You'll need at least half a day if you want to do everything. Great restaurant and free parking available. Opens at 10am untill 7pm. Lockers available at the ticket hall. Just need to have a comfortable pair of shoes !!!
