Place Henri IV is easy to access on foot from anywhere in the town centre and is essential viewing if you like historical architecture. You'll often overhear Brits saying "oooh...it's just like York". No it's not. It's French and it's very different.

It is small but historical. Old fachwerk houses are giving very good picture of medieval look of the city. My wife shot few very nice photos.

Vannes is a very beautiful town and this is one of the best parts. A very wonderful place. The buildings are so nice just strolling through the town at a leisurely pace is the best thing to do.

We absolutely loved this colorful square lined with architecture hundreds of years old but perfectly curated and coordinated with bright colors. It was a very cool surprise to stumble into this.

The old town was tiny, the place had many old buildings but the exterior paint work confused me, they looked like some fake movie setting. Especially in this little square.

Very near to the centre of vannes. Walking through the old lanes with beautiful midevial age houses make the experience more enriched. The colorful houses looks magnificent!

As shown in this picture, Place Henry IV is a true miror of the old times. "Ancient elegance", I would define it.

Lovely city, walking and lots to see. Visit the church, gardens and creperie! Parking was okay but can get busy.
