Very interesting

Tucked away up a tiny Street is the fosse dione. A historic and strangely wonderful water source. Not must see but if you are in town have a peek. It's fascinating....

I can't help wondering where are the people allegedly still lost in the caves below! A little shabby but still a curiosity worth seeing, especially as it is very accessable with street parking nearby. Worth a vist.

A must to visit if in Tonnerre. The weather was awful when we visited but this is a must. An amazing natural water feature in the centre of town.

it is a pool of water that I guess they used a long time ago for drinking water. The water is surprisingly blue and very very deep we were all impressed.

We visited Tonnere based upon some of the reviews read here as we were staying in the local area. Despite reading that it was a hidden gem finding the fosse Dione was still a surprise to see, it seems very much a hidden gem. It is very nice attraction, but it is hidden little bit. It looks like you are going into privat secret garden :-)

A must-see if you are in Tonnerre. Make sure to go down the steps and walk around the lavoir -- there are fireplaces hidden in the walls of the structure.

This is an amazing feature and warrants a visit. " La Fosse Dionne has all appearances of a resulting vauclusian source of deep water... whose flow increases very quickly as a result of a heavy rainfall...". It is related to significant cracks in the soil and the abundance of its flow seems linked to the vicinity of the sequanien limestone,... More
