Quite small but good way to spend an hour

Covers 3 floors and you go up the tower in the centre of the house. Lots of original furniture, pictures, books etc. I enjoyed it.

The Jules Verne house was top of my list to visit and we were not disappointed. The house is very much set up as a museum but the flow makes for an interesting visit. We very much enjoyed the fabulous original advertising posters depicting books/plays and latterly films. The spiral staircases are crazy but strangely not out of place in... More

We hadn't particularly intended to visit the Maison de Jules Verne, but we were glad we did. Informative displays, with a guide folder available in English, and you got quite a sense of what it might have been like to live in the house. Great memorabilia of all the films etc made using his books.

Nice little museum house of Jules Verne. Its a little walk outside the city center area of Amiens but as a fan of his books I still want to give it a visit. Was really nice, like a little timetravel along his life, books and how all those fantasy stuff evolved.

We've visited this house a few times as it us absolutely amazing. It has very strange opening hours but a late pm visit is usually best. Be aware there are a lot of steep stairs to climb once inside the house which us a good 10 minute walk from the centre of Amiens.

We visited the Maison de Jules Verne at the end of a long day tramping the streets of Amiens and were rewarded with a venue that was emptying out very quickly. The exhibits are staged through what was Verne's life, and are a really interesting insight into one of France's great writers....but looking at the numbers leaving as we arrived,... More

At the desk tell them your nationality and they will loan you a booklet telling all about the museum and what you will be seeing. That really helped us enjoy his home. The 3rd floor is done in the style of 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Worthwhile museum to visit

I guess the biggest problem with this place is that it happens to be in Amiens, and I suspect that Amiens is generally not on everybody's route on their European holiday, however if you do happen to be in the area, or are a bit of a science-fiction buff, then it is definitely worth checking out. The house is basically... More
