This was a lovely, quirky little museum well worth the 10 / 15 minute walk from the cathedral. It’s a house rented by the famous author for a decade in which he wrote some of his best known stories. Full of moentos, books, scripts photos,...More

It is nice too see and feel the place where Jules Vernes worked and lived. But since the rooms are all not original it is more like a museum out of this period. You will find many things from JV and of course it is...More

Jules Verne lived in this house from 1882 to 1900 and wrote 44 books there. We cannot remember seeing a house museum as well done as this one. It was just over the top and filled with his memorabilia. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

On Friday's from 16:30 there is no entrance fee. We had this luck. Personally I would have expected to see more tange-able items of Jules Verne brain. But that is all to do with expectations. The models displayed I feel interresting and nice.

Neat look into the home of the writer. Cool architecture. Worth a visit. The highlight of Amiens for my science-nerd husband.

We visited the house of Jules Verne and we liked it a lot. Of course, the fact that you visit the house with a guide make the visit even more interesting. Interesting to know more about a writer I liked a lot when child.

The house is a gorgeous art nouveau era home and shows that Verne was lucky enough to enjoy the fruits of his labours in his own lifetime. The sheer numbers of the books he wrote was a revelation to me. The house also has exhibits...More
