Take the boat tour to see the Calanques and then look at which one you would like to see again and drive to the parking and hike in. Very astounding and impressive geography like the fjords but Mediterranean

Most beautifull view, with a wonderfull water. Despite the fact that you spend 2hs walking and in some place going down in a declive mountain ( only 5 minutes stress), is valide any minute when you arrive at the beach.

Many hikes along the different areas of the Calanques. Amazing views of the Mediterranean. Be careful climbing down, the trails are slippery even in dry weather and you can easily fall. Swimming is great, but the water is cold! Bring lots of water to drink

I read in a guide book about the Calanques which are like fjords--inlets with deep water surrounded by (limestone) cliffs. My wife and I decided to drive more than an hour to visit Cassis and take a boat trip to the Calanques. In mid-September, the only boat trip offered was the standard visit to the 3 primary Calanques. We sat... More

We went to book a boat trip at 9 am and despite the faded sign on the booking hut saying it opened at 13:30; and the boatman saying about noon, it opened at 9:30. It is best to research the different trips available before queueing to avoid making a hurried choice when at the cash desk. We were very pleased... More

You can take a ticket at the booth for different lengths of boat trip 3, 5, or 7 calanques. We took the 7 and it was very pleasant on the water looking at the passing sites.

Access the "calanques" via boat from Cassis. There are different roundtrips and you don't go ashore. Just sigh-seeing the limestone cliffs rising high out of the sea and forming deep and narrow "bays".

We opted for the 45min cruise around the first 3 calanques for 16 euros per person. There is a yellow booth close to the Tourist Info office where you can purchase your tickets. The hybrid/electric boat was so quiet - it made the cruise that much better. The tour is narrated; the crew (2) of 'La Canaille' can narrate in... More

We took the boat to see three calanques during the low season. Happy to do this while the weather is still not bad and not too many people. Boat trip cost us 16 euros each for 45mins. The tour was done in french but you get a piece of paper in english. Worth while doing if first time visiting.
