A hike to Port Pin took us about 90 minutes... And enjoyable every minute! If you start at Plage Bestouan, it's pretty easy to follow the free map given out by the tourist office. You will first go past Port Miou, with all the moored boats. There's your first photo op! A beautiful fiord to look down upon. Continue on,... More

These are natural inlets surrounded by high vertical cliffs . We hiked from Cassis to 3 of the Calanques ( inlets ) and back . This was about 5 hours . The scenery is beyond spectacular . One inlet ( Port Miou ) is a harbour for yachts . The other 2 are popular as beaches for the locals (... More

We took the 3-calanque boat tour, and it was just the right length time for us. We got to see three beautiful calanques--truly beautiful scenery. Folks who are really into boating might want a longer tour but 45 minutes was perfect, IMO!

This really is great place to visit, you can take a boat ride or walk. We walked 13 km that day, elevation equal to 61 floors according to the phone's records. We were on a roadtrip and arrived around mid day to Cassis on Easter Monday. This meant that all the parking places close to center of the village or... More

Do this. Do this first by boat (90 min one is best) and then by foot - stunning, spectacular, just an all-around wow experience.

These rocky peninsulars give the coastline a rugged beauty and perfect challenge for a day or more of hiking. (See a previous review of mine which gives further details. Cassis is one starting point (of at least two that I know of ) to visit the Calanques)
