It is an awesome place to visit in summers as even in scorching heat, when u go inside, u r welcomed by cold breeze. amazing sculptures have been made by water dripping over salt for God knows how many years.

The salt reserves at Khewra were discovered when Alexander the Great crossed the Jhelum and Mianwali region during his Indian campaign. this is really an amazing trip.the things they have made with the salt range and the lighting is excellent.our kids really enjoyed their trip here.we went on the train ride too.

The sat mines are a great place for any one interested in the geology. For kids, it is an excellent opportunity to learn about rocks & minerals. For anyone coming from Islamabad, one can easily visit Katas Raj temples on the way to Khewra mines....More
