Khewra Salt Mines are the second biggest mine in the world. Get salt from time immemorial, best for a day trip in winters with family and friends, tickets price varies for local and foreigners.

It's around 45 minutes drive from Pind Dadan Khan Interchange on Islamabad-Lahore Motorway. Great place for all family members.

Very interesting and joyful trip to Khewra Second largest salt mines in the World. Gone 2 kilometres inside mines and inside 2500 ft mountain above on carriage. Very nice monuments made by workers. Salt wells and treatment room for asthmatic patients inside mines. Cool weather...More

It's a great exposure to visit this place to see how the mine is done and how deep toward the mountain they have gone.. The carvings made out of salt are awesome..

As far as I know there are not direct buses. You have to go either private vehicle or hire a bus on highway which turns out at Kallar Kahar as I remember. Or you can take GT road. Yet there are no direct busses or trains to... More

Buses reach directly from Islamabad to Pind Dadan Khan. From there itโ€™s only 6 km away.....

Yes you can visit the mine throughout the year. Though during june , july its very hot in punjab. Temp is above 45 but indie the mine would be much cooler and once you enter will be surpsided to see such a temp drop. While... More
