Could wander round here all day. Beautifully landscaped and tranquil. Quite steep but the climb to the top is well worth it to find the ruins of a medieval castle. If you love greenery, moss and tempting little stone paths then you’ll be in heaven here.

Well worth the walk to the top. Lots of variety of plants you recognise, but not generally as you know them, very interesting!

The botanical gardens in Samoens are just another reason that this town is a cut above the usual alpine ski resort.

Make sure you have decent shoes and plenty of energy because it is on a steep slope and the walking is all up or down hill.

We saw it in the spring as the earliest flowers were coming out and it was a lovely spot to spend a little time on a sunnny afternoon.

Closed during Christmas week. It was such a shame as it wasn’t even snowing 😩this wasn’t made clear on the website or any signage nearby and people were stood looking at the gates wondering why they couldn’t get in

Nice place to walk up from middle of town. Great views from the botanic garden. Something to do on a sunny day in the alps

Beautiful garden on a steep hill with loads of plants and tees and rocks and waterfalls. Very pretty and a bit of exercise to go along with it. Nice views.

Well worth a visit if staying in Samoens. The views are fantastic although it's a steep climb to the top so take it easy and take plenty of water if it's high summer.

A beautiful little garden. Very tranquil and beautifully maintained.
Quite a steep climb, but plenty of benches for resting and admiring the views of the town.
We'll worth a visit.

A “ jardin remarquable” with an enormous variety of plants and trees stretching up steep slopes with views over the valley
