We had lunch at the restaurant and then shopped a little in the stores near. Excellent food and Service. We had St. Peters Fish and a great salad bar. The Baptismal Grounds were very serene and beautiful.

Splendid place to have a paddle in The Jordan or just a peaceful walk. There were a few coaches there but it didn't seem crowded at all. We enjoyed sitting with a coffee and ice cream beside the river. Big restaurant and shop there too. Free entry as well!

They gave us a listing of several local pastors and clergy to perform a baptism. We found one who was able to fit us in on short notice, and it was a very good experience. I would suggest it to anyone who is thinking about stopping by to do it. The peace on the river is amazing.

Cost for baptism is $10 for towel, robe etc. Robe is very thin so wear bathing suite beneath. Identify who will baptize you and prescribed method (three dunking for Father, Son and Holy Spirit or one dunking). Beautiful experience. Enjoy sinking with others being baptized.

This is a baptismal site on the river Jordan. Supposed to be popular with pilgrims, but the day we were there it was packed with just tourists, who can also get baptised if they want to. There is a big gift shop inside, as well as a small one outside overlooking the baptismal site.

This baptismal site is not to be missed. This is an opportunity to be baptized where Jesus was baptized by John. The water is a little cold when you first step in, but it seems to warm up when you get down to the baptismal platform. The water appears dirty, but it is really quite clean. You stand on a... More

Beautiful area for baptisms. Wonderful accommodations (for $10 receive white robe and towel for baptism, as well as certificate of baptism). Onsite video of each baptism with opportunity (but not obligation) for purchase.

I didn't have much expectation as we entered this place. I had already made up my mind I was not taking part of the festivities. However, as The baptisms started taking place, I experienced a very real spiritual moment that I cannot explain. Please go with expectation. You will experience God here.

If you feel the need to be baptized in the Jordan River, then you can experience that here. I've always had mixed feelings about walking through a holy place and then coming across the gift shop tucked away near the exit. But this place has the aura of a commercialized institution dedicated to making your baptismal experience memorable as long... More
