Founded in 1919 by Jean Delacour, the animal park of Clères has more than 1,500 animals in semi-freedom in a park of 13 hectares open to the public. The park also has an architecturally significant building from the 13th century and altered since the Renaissance and until the 19th century

We visited the park especially to view the bird collection, unfortunately the aviary was closed for redevelopment. This closure was not posted anywhere that we found on the website. In addition I found a serious lack of information on the birds that we did see....More

We have visited this park many times, in different seasons. We love it. It is beautifully kept and it is wonderful to see some animals wandering around freely. A must for families !

This was a great surprise as we stopped not knowing what we would see. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to really explore & e joy. Loved the Chateau from the outside.

This is a private collection of primarily exotic birds and monkeys, but I loved the grazing wallabies everywhere and the gentle lemur.
