Fascinating museum!
Great collection of different aircrafts and engines. Each aircraft has an informative description, many interesting stories related to them. Specs are provided for the engines, which was cool to learn. Learned more about aviation than ever before.
The interactive maps and the scaled airport models with LEDs are very innovative!
Lots of real artifacts from the aviation history, as well as a great amount of real historical events with pictures and interesting facts! Many events from WWII are described as well.
The giftshop is awesome - full of plane models, assemble kits, T-shirts, and more.
Knowledgeable and nice guides.
Thought of spending only an hour there, but stayed for 3 hours, and left very impressed!
Great and unique place that immerses fully you into the history of aviation. This museum is absolutely worth putting on the top attraction list.

This is close to Halifax airport. They have a great collection of planes. Admission is by donation. They also have a large gift shop with a bazillion model kits for sale.

This museum is open every day 9 to 5. This is a fascinating place, full if planes from early days of aviation to today's fighters, rescue planes , etc. You can walk into a cockpit, view engines, Read about the history of all types of planes, the people who flew them. This is a great family outing, kids will be fascinated the by displays. 2 buildings of planes to walk around and be able to see close up the planes you just see in the sky. There are a few steps, but mostly easy to walk around. This is well worth the visit by everyone.

So very interesting to see how small plane cockpits actually were. You could go in several planes to tour. This was my second visit and loved it again! Friendly staff.

After passing this museum many times on the highway we decided to go in. I'm so glad we did, you are transported into another world when in the museum. They have a lot of interactive and kid friendly exhibits, and a lot of information if you are in the mood to learn more about aircraft. I would suggest this be a stop to anybody wanting a nice quiet but super fun experience.

When you see a military aircraft by the side of the highway near a regional airport you think its a tribute. Well it is, to the history of aviation, the military air contributions, civilian airlines, coast guard, anything that has flown near and far. Included are airplanes from when they first were invented, up to those today. Lots of RCAF planes (my favourites), small civilian planes and simulators. There are hundreds of models in display cases, lots of pictures and historical information. There's also a gift shop with reasonable prices. Totally run by volunteers it is well worth stopping by, lots of parking, a pleasant place to spend some time.
The only negative is they are really cramped for space. It needs to be at least 3 times the size it is now.
Entrance fee is by voluntary donation - they deserve a good one! (¯`·._.·ns¢ävË·._.·´¯)®

Ask for the guided tour and you will not be disappointed! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was much more interesting than just walking through the museum. There are a lot of great displays and airplanes from every era.

This museum was a surprise in terms of content and the sheer amount of history inside. A hidden gem to be sure, if you didn't know it you would think there was very little inside but looks are receiving. 😊 Give it a few hours at least to explore
