Arrived from Alberta hoping to try the runs but the only lift that was open, was only open to cross country skiers. Not wanting to waste the trip there we were offered to rent "fat bikes". The guy at the rental shop emphasised that it was strenuous but we thought it'd be easier then snowshoeing the trail. It definitely was... More

Downhill, X-country, snowboarding, whatever you are into, Silver Star has it better. Being a big X-country fan, Sovereign lake is right before SilverStar with hundreds of path with different levels and an awesome cafe/rest stop filled with knowledgeable and friendly people.

I attended my brother's wedding here and it was a wonderful venue and experience. He and his wife were married in a gazebo overlooking the mountains and the backdrop was amazing. That said, there is a bit of a steep walk down to the gazebo, but the resort does offer a pick-up and drop-off for anyone who might be unable... More

Silver star mountain bike park is second only to Whistler. The DH trails here are fast flowy and well maintained. They have over the last 2 years started to machine build an epic cross country trail - Beowulf. When done in the summer of 2017 it will be 37km of fast flowing single track with 1200 m of climbing. It... More

No line up at the lifts and trails for all skill levels. Be prepared with lots of water to wash the grit out of your teeth,as it is tad dusty and dry. Shred the awesome jumps and berms or just float them, it's up to you.Gorgeous views. Lots of hiking and cross country riding ops as well. Campground has 12... More

We recently went to the Silver Star resort as we had heard about some great trails to bike and we were not disappointed! It was a fabulous time and we hope to do it again next year!

Silver Star ski resort was where we skied growing up. This time we visited in the summer, many shops were open, the bakery is fantastic. The resort is now a haven for bmx biking and future development.

nice quiet yet freshhills. Make sure u have enough supplies and do not require to go to the town frequently . cos the road is extremely slippery in winter and dangerous as well. Takes about an hour to come and get down from the hills to the town .

My whole family skis and snowboards here but this time we tried something new on our favorite mountain, we brought get our bikes and rode the mountain tracks taking the lift to the top. I've mountain biked since the 1980's and have been to many bike lift operations and Silver Star is equal or better than any of them. This... More
