It is worth visiting. It has a nice view and nice surounding gardens, so we took advantage of the sunny day and walked around. Although there are some explanations in English, not everything has a translation, so it is difficult to understand if you don't know german.

Visiting Glucksburg for a 3 days stay, you really want to see this nice Castle. The sourrounding Park is worth a visit too. There is a Restaurant at the Castle, but we didn't try it out, maybe next time.

This is one of the most famous castles on water in Germany with a picturesque park around, which we have enjoyed even on a chilly autumn day! Perfect for a day trip or a short weekend visit if you are nearby.

We didn't know about this town or this attraction until we saw the signs on the autoroute. They provided recorded guides in many languages, and the self-guided tour was informative. We sometimes lost our place in the automated guide, but that's not a problem, as you can backup and move forward at any time. You have to wear special shoes... More

Glucksberg is an absolutely beautiful castle in a gorgeous village close to Flensburg. The castle is full of wonderful treasures and interesting artefacts relating to its links with many of the Royal Families throughout Europe. If I had one criticism, it would be that the cellars should have an age warning on the door - some of the instruments of... More

Visited here with child of 11 whose is keen on historical houses and castles. Glucksburger Schloss is more in keeping with a traditional historical house than what we would commonly think of as a castle. However, the organisation and artefacts were very good, helpful staff and very informative audio guide (only available in German, Danish or English). Entrance €7 pa... More

The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We used the audio guides in English and Danish and would highly recommend this to get the most out of your visit. Great insight into the history of the Danish German conflicts in the region. If you bring children there is much for them to be engaged in. There is also a playground... More

The castle, now a museum gives a good impression of the circumstance of life for northern nobel people. Take a trip back in time.

Although i did not have the opportunity to go in, this place is magical. The town of Glucksburg is very nice and this castle in the middle makes it outstanding!!! Next time I will visit for sure.

What a stunning Disney like castle near Flensburg. The situation on the Fiord near The village of Glucksburg is gorgeous. It is a very reasonable €8 to go into the castle and is really beautifully preserved and interesting. There is an introductory video subtitled in English at the start and is an essential part of the trip. Do the trip... More
