Fascinating gem of a museum.

We were welcomed by the curator and surprised by the scope and content of this small museum. Fascinating items of Zeppelin hardware as well as photos and written material.

Don`t get bamboozled about the size, it`s small but full of EXCLUSIVE material. Zeppelin lovers/enthusiast will love this place! It`s the details which separate them from the other museum! They have original Zeppelin parts all from a private owner and change things regularly due to lack of space, which i think is a shame because of the rarity of the... More

I expected a little more, very short tour but you can visit one Zeppelin (replica-scale) in my opinion is not very well reproduced, interesting photographs and some pieces of original Zeppelin's and little else.

The Zeppelin Museum Meersburg is a fascinating step back in time. While the larger Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen provides a broader overview of the Zeppelin era, Herr Urban's personal collection at the Zeppelin Museum Meersburg offers a degree of granularity that is exceptional, and will be deeply appreciated by those with a passionate interest in lighter-than-air, or early aviation in... Very small museum privately own with a multitude of objects related to Zeppelin travel, interesting to see and to discover a kind of lost world and another type of life. Some equipments on display are for the real experts radio equipment, a trap bomb .... But worth spending some time

We were greeted heartily by an elderly lady when we arrived at the Zeppelin Museum in Meersburg. It wasn't hard to find, as it was next to a castle in the old city. This lady explained about the museum and then showed us a documentary about the Zeppelin. It used to be a luxurious means to fly. They had restaurants... More

Four of us visited on Monday September 21. Wow! Today we take for granted many of the methods of construction. In this time they even had to invent their construction tools. Stop and spend some time in this museum. Highly recommended

We were extremely impressed by the number of exhibits displayed, it's a wonderful collection from an interesting era. The enthusiasm of the lady in charge made the visit even more enjoyable. We found the video (English version) extremely interesting and informative. Well worth a visit.

Very good, interesting place. Try visit at quieter times if you want to read the info to avoid people standing in front of you. Hand held info phone is worth the extra info, especially if your German is not where it should be, as mine isn't, make sure you have some ID to hand in as collateral for it! Lots... More
