Back on the top of Tegelberg after almost 60 years. This time not by foot but by Tegelbergbahn. If they state that the first tour is at 9 am it should not leave at 09.45.....

Great views and so much fun. It's over so quickly, but so worth it. Our whole family including my 73 year old mother had a good time on the slide. We had lunch in the restaurant in the parking lot which was alright.

It is situated in the carpark of the cablecar. Not many people at 13:00 on a cold march day. It costs 3-3.80€ per person. Kids will love it. We did it after the cablecar and enjoyed the 10mins.

We rewarded the kids with some runs down the Tegelbergbahn alpine slide after a nice hike up to the castles earlier in the day. Very picturesque and you can actually see the castle's from the slides. They also have some zip lines and swing sets to relax. Tip: they also have a gondola that is about 500 yards away but... More

My husband and I had lots of fun on the Tegelbergbahn. It's only a few minutes away from Schwangau, very close to the castles. We both left with big smiles on our faces. Our inner child was very happy.

We stayed in Fussel, Germany for a night with the intention of visiting the Neuschwanstein castle (and the other one nearby...Hogenschwau?) but were not prepared with reserved tickets to do so. We read that it is quite a hassle and long wait if you do not reserve your tour time ahead. After arriving at our hotel we decided to swing... More

This was an unexpected thing to find near Neuschwanstein castle. We arrived at the castle base via bus. Tried to get tour tickets for the castle, but nothing was available until 2:30. So with 4 hours to kill, we walked to the Bob Sleds. It was a 45 minute walk. You can walk along the trail that starts behind the... More

A blast, so easy to find and a fun race against each other. Great for families and kids! Set at the base of the mountain in tegelberg right next to the gondola.

My sister and 2 grandchildren visited us from the UK, we decided to take them here, very enjoyable, not too expensive, nice garden area for the adults to drink coffee/beer etc, climbing area for the kids, also a small playground, beautiful views of the alps and the Königsschlosser
