It's a great castle ruin that I went in 15 years ago with my husband. I went back with my 13 year old daughter to show her the cool tunnels and passageways that run underneath the castle, only to find out you can't do them...More

When we arrived at the castle we found out that visits made to many parts of the castle could only be done with a guided tour, but those were only offered in German. We decided to take the tour but after awhile decided that it...More

The Castle is well worth a visit. Just make shore you have good footwear on as it is uneven inside. You can get good views from here over the river.

We went here because of a Rick Steve's Germany guidebook review which said the dark tunnels under this castle could be explored via a self guided tour. This is no longer the case--the tunnels are closed permanently. About half the remaining castle is by guided...More

Ruins of a castle on a mountain by the river. Very beautiful sight from every angle. There is a small museum inside and a good restaurant, which is part of the hotel just beside the ruins.
