For me you can forget the Maya, the stone age, and even the roman artifacts. I found the number 1 place to see is actually on the lower level at the end of the exhibits. The Cathedral Treasury. Exhibit shows the cathedral as it was...More

Basically, I was not sure that I want to visit this museum. Artifacts of primitive era and household items from the life of Roman legionaries - these exhibits are usually quite ordinary and quickly erased from memory. However, for the benefit of the museum played...More

My husband, myself, a nine year old and a one year old went to this museum. It was beautiful! We only had a short time, but we saw the relics and vestments used by priests hundreds of years ago! The monstrances on display were gorgeous!...More

The Mayas have always interested me and it is an excellent exhibition, well thought out, with a lot visual aids, which makes it come alive. What impressed me was that they made is also interesting to students, not so dried out. It makes you wonder...More

I got the notion that the museum is slightly off the attention of foreign tourists though it is worth the visit. The reason might be only the German information of the artifacts is available. You may see all the significant artifacts of the region and...More

The special Maya exhibit brings together wonderful photographs of Macduff Everton, spectacular original pieces form Guatemala and around Europe, with a focus on the new site Uxul, whose work Nicolai Grube of U Bonn has developed. The animation videos of the site of Uxul, and...More

You can find the original stuff that belongs to the ancient church next to the museum. You can find out how the Dome was built and there are always very nice and interesting exhibitions.

Hi, I believe that the main information is in German only. You get only some labels by the artefacts in English.
