Walking up to the river it's impossible to miss the castle sitting beautifully above the town. We walked up the steep street and the bit of work made the views that much more rewarding. Definitely stop for a sit and a drink at the cafe...More

This is a fairytale castle at the top of a hill. The guided tour only covers part of the castle. Much of it was destroyed in previous wars but it has been rebuilt and refurnished in an appropriate style. The views of the countryside from...More

Took a guided tour of the place, paid 6 Euro, but it was in German. But a handout in English was provided, which isn't the same as hearing it from the tour guide. So I spent most of my time just taking pictures. You'll see...More

The guided tour was perfect. The guide knew what he was talking about, and did it in an interesting way. Very nice view from the balcony. Take your time when walking up there. The road is steep.

Attended a wedding at the castle. It was just beautiful and amazing. The couple booked us for a castle tour after the ceremony. The guide was very well versed. Because we could only understand English, the guide did the tour in both English and German!!...More

Visited the Reichsburg castle in Cochem, definitely well worth the effort. They do tours in english at midday and 3pm. There is a cafe with a large terrace overlooking the mosel.

Nice looking castle but you can only do guided tours which are in German, English handouts are provided. English tours happen twice a day at 1200hrs and 1500hrs. Included in the cost you got to visit approximately 10/12 rooms and other areas of interest but...More
