Cheese making, cheese sales, charcuterie plates, picnic tables, good selection of wines and drinks. Located near the Morteratsch Staz, this scenic, quaint, and unique place is worth seeking out for lunch, a picnic, or just to watch the cheese making process. Our charcuterie lunch was...More

The "Heutaler" of this cheesery is certainly one of the best Swiss hard cheeses. You can also buy it at the "Sennerei" in the midst of Pontresina.

The Schaukaserei is right by the railway station, and offers a wonderful brunch - this needs to be booked the day before, but is definitely worth planning for. There is a large selection of cheese and meat, as well as various different types of bread,...More

The Alp-Schaukäserei Morteratsch, near the beginning of the Morterartsch glacier walk above Pontresina, is an amazing place. They actually make the Heutaler cheese here. It looks like a little cabin, with some tables and benches outside (great place to have lunch). But in that cabin,...More

After a lovely walk we took a break at the Alp-Schaukäserei, which was an interesting experience. We were treated to a sensational cheese platter.
