Had read about Adelboden on the internet so decided to toboggan and snowboard as a change from the resort where we were staying. What a delight. All I can say is that the toboggan runs are incredible fun, long and very varied and we happily spent close to three hours before switching to the ski slopes which again are exceptional... More

Not as busy or fancy or expensive as some of the more "well known" places... but this has a small farm town charm with exceptional skiing, some shopping, some good dining places in a pristine setting.

it was a lovely quiet place to spend new years - good places to hike and visit and a fondue igloo at the top of one hike

We stumbled upon Adelboden looking for a cool, remote place for a spa weekend. We were quite surprised by the amazing hotels, dining options, and natural attractions in the small town. The stunning views offer the best Switzerland has to offer. Highly recommend checking out the Engstligenfalls - a beautiful breathtaking waterfall, hidden just behind the funicular office.

The view is fantastic, there are a lot of trails for mountain climbing, I can imagine how popular this place be, during the winter time. Very beautiful, worth recommending

Adelboden is a quaint village with stunning views over the Bernese Alps. A great place to come and relax and switch off from the daily grind, and to see stereotypical Switzerland.

This is my home town where I spend my childhood. As a kid growing up in the mountains we craved to see the world. Which I did for the last 25 years. As for tourists I can highly recommend this town. It has great character lots of activities great hotels lots of ski and hiking options. As any tourist town... More

Our families have gone to this place for years, but we visited for the first time this year and were astonished at the beauty, the many things to do and yet the lack of tourists and crowds.

A very Swiss experience, albeit a complete culture shock for Londoners. It's a quiet town (maybe even a village), with extraordinary views of the local mountains and spectacular scenery. The people are very friendly, but be prepared for a scary drive if coming at night! Something that really should be experienced.
