This is a pretty understated outing, and it was only because we were with a local that we really experienced the full magnificence of the place. Its a short walk to the entry point and they are very keen to ensure that you don't leave litter with a deposit paid n every item of plastic that you bring in, on the basis that if you bring it back you get your deposit back, which is good to see they are taking this seriously. Its an hours walk into the jungle on a pretty straight forward trail, but you have 5 river crossings to do, and on the day we were there the river was above the knee, and you have to be careful to make sure you don't slip and take an early bath. At most of the crossings there are fish waiting to be fed. The Mother Falls which is the main one that you get to just after the 5th river crossing is pretty spectacular and theres space to swim and enjoy the atmosphere, but on the Saturday we were there it was busy. However we had the inside knowledge that the best place to go is the Father Falls, which is a very steep climb up a track just before the last crossing. You need to ask at the entry point if its open, as if there has been rain its very slippery and dangerous. But the ground conditions were ok for us and after a 20 minute climb and some pretty hairy moments above the Mother Falls we got to the top falls, which isn't a big, but there were 2 other people there and after a while we had the place to ourselves. There is lovely swimming there and its just heaven, and again the fish are there and get very close. Just be warned the second falls is not for the faint hearted or those who suffer from vertigo, but otherwise go for it!

there is a notice to stay that waterfall is completely closed to visitors. Hotels should be informed. We drove all the way from top of fraser hill to this, only to read that closed sign at entrance

Great place if you want to challenge yourself to go out of the city and experience nature.
There is a lot of fish, you can also buy fish food at the registration.
It is recommended that you wear athletic footwear that you can dip under water.
You will cross around 5 river crossings before reaching the waterfall.
Bring a backpack with water as there are no vendors once you go for the hike.

Can't believe there is no review yet on this amazing and popular water fall. Worth to note that, this waterfall at the moment is only open to public on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. It is quite far from KL (about 1.5 hours driving) and you'll have to walk another 1 hour or so to get to the waterfall. But the trekking is mostly flat and you'll have to cross the river a few times (6 total river crossing, I think), So it is not though. There is a minimal entrance fee of RM 1 per person. All plastic wrapped items (plastic bottles, food wrap, etc) will be counted and a deposit of max RM 50 or RM 3 per plastic piece will be collected at the entrance, the deposit will be returned to you when you show the same amount of plastic at the exit. A good way to prohibit people from throwing rubbish everywhere. Also you can buy fish food for RM 2. Camping is allowed but not at the waterfall site, only at the entrance near the river.

Very suitable for those who are adventurous as the journey to the waterfall involved climbing over a tree trunk, minor jungle trekking, and river crossing (full with friendly fishes). Keep your phone and clothes in a waterproof bag just in case you lose your balance and fall into the river. Prepare to be wet as the highest water level should be around the thigh area (depends on the weather). At the first waterfall, there are limited space for picnic. So, probably bring some sandwiches and snacks. The water is very clear and you can see the fishes clearly.

Downside: The washroom is not clean and no shower is available.

Reminders:
1) Remember to bring all your rubbish and throw at the main entrance.
2) Please refrain from washing you hair in the river (you're poisoning the fishes with your chemicals from the shampoo)
3) The waterfall is only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (8 am to 6 pm). The place will be closed from Monday to Thursday due to ongoing research by the Fisheries Department.

The best part in this trip: There are NO LEECHES. :)
