Once you are away from the end of the river there are excellent sand beaches on both sides of the river. Be aware it is tidal but it is safe for children as long as they are supervised. This is a lovely part of Brittany...More
Nice spot to visit. Lots of free parkings and a tremendous beach walk. Go on a sunny day ( or afternoon to enjoy the sunset) with high tides but beware of the wind.

Visit either side of the entrance to the Ria d'Etel preferably on a dry windy day around high tide. Waves crash in over the sand bar and rip round rocks into the river.The sands move round the estuary with each tide. Lots of easy beach...More
