The Cathedral is new, accessible to locals and tourist alike, conveniently located, safe and secured. Has a parking space for cars and open to public anytime. It has a chapel at the back where masses are held daily. We attended a morning mass and the parishioners we were with are seniors, warm, friendly people.

The cathedral structure itself is a work of art. You would know, upon entering the vicinity, that the workers who built it have put their hearts in the project, and as a result, the entire area is an overall expression of true strong faith. The design of the lanscape, the walk path, the exterior setting, the tiles in the inside,... More

What is shown in the picture is not the front of the church. It is actually the rear and that is a probably for a good reason. The architecture is European but not specifically Spanish as compared to the majority of churches built here by our early colonisers. Though burying the remains of the clergy within the grounds or the... More

The church is so big with a very high ceiling. It is a bit far from the main road so it's very quite and peaceful in this area. You can pray peacefully and give thanks to God for all the blessings

A modern church with an eccentric architecture, Christ the King Cathedral is Tagum's main church. Masses are heard here daily. The church actually resembles a castle from afar. It has also become a tourist and religius destination in the city.

This Catholic church has masses in English, Visayan and Tagalog. Its claim to fame is the worlds biggest prayer beads as certified by the Guinness Book of Records. Painted black each wooden bead is linked by a chain, located at the rear of the church. The church is large but if you want to stay cool sit at the sides... More

We went to Tagum City which is about 2 hours by bus from Davao City last April 6-12 to participate in the 2014 National Prisaa Games. One of the incredible sites is the Christ the King Cathedral which has a unique design because the front looks a modern 4 story building while the back portion looks like a castle. This... More

Peaceful, and unique... I was told the Cathedral was built only a few years ago, but it is very "Art Deco" in style, and looks as though it might have been built almost a hundred years ago. I think it is a beautiful building, and there is a well tended garden, with the Stations of the Cross. Visiting this fine... More
