Green fees most expensive in Sabah..... 400 MYR for foreigners. Course is pretty and interesting. Well maintained. Facilities dated but OK.

Had a lovely round of golf on a Friday in January, stunning day. Nice course, lots of water hazard :). Make sure to have a quick bite at the cafe, and try the Tuaran Mee!

We don’t play golf but really enjoyed riding round the golf course on a buggy. The golf course is very attractive and well landscaped. We saw herons, egrets, lizards and a otters. Great way to spend a couple of hours if you like nature. Seeing the otters was a highlight of the holiday.

I was in two minds to play on this course as part of my holiday and I am so pleased that I did.

The course is in excellent condition with quick greens.

The Titliest golf clubs were in good condition and the driver I hit straight, may need to change my clubs when I get home!

There is a lot of water and I lost 6 balls to the water, 2 because I didn’t know the lay of the course.

The views were breathtaking and one of the most picturesque courses I have ever played on.

I went round on my own and the four balls in front who had caddies let me through with a big smile, such a friendly and welcoming place to go

If you are in two minds about having a round here, take my advice and have a round you won’t regret it, I didn’t

Worth a visit. Hire clubs and shoes available. Staff very friendly and helpful. Course is pretty enough and part of a wildlife reserve so chance of seeing bearcats and otters. Course itself challenging enough although you can largely play it as you see it : the water is designed to catch wild tee shots rather than provide challenging shots into greens. The fairways are pretty generous. Greens and bunkers often not well tended - pitch marks and unraked sand is quite common. I was behind a very very slow local 4 ball with no one in front for 5 holes and it took a little while to get through them. Not sure course etiquette is always that great there. But scenery beautiful, and a very fair course for visitors. I played on the twilight ticket and that worked out well but i think that’s pot luck according to the guys working there.

The course is definitely worth a visit. Suspect that pace of play can vary quite a bit

The golf course is part of Shangri-la‘s Rasa Ria Resort and is set within a wonderful tropical estate. Water features prominently on this course, only two holes are free of water hazards...but fairways are generally wide enough so that you have plenty of space to play with.

The staff is very friendly and supportive in all aspects. A great
crew!

No wonder is this one of the top golf courses in Malaysia and well worth visiting.

The golf course is reasonably well maintained, greens smooth, although not quick. Fairways good, occasionally patchy. Definitely worth bringing the clubs!
They do have a driving range as well as basic clubs for hire. Carts are compulsory, caddies are optional. The Proshop is well stocked.
Play early, before the heat and afternoon storms.
Criticisms:
Bunkers are not in great condition and never raked. I watched golfers walk through bunkers without considering to rake them. Twice I witnessed groups that had hired caddies not rake bunkers, and the caddies did not even care, even after I approached them!
Speed of play slow. They let groups off the 10th, despite no players on the 1st, slowing down the morning players coming through - just an idiotic stupid starter!
Overall it is well worth the visit if you are a golfer! It is difficult course with nice scenery, miss a fairway and you are in the jungle OOB, or wet!!

My wife and I, came up to the golf course to have a go at the driving range and hopefully spot an otter! Thank you to Bakri for coming to get us in a buggy and take us to where the otters were and we were indeed extremely lucky to have a fantastic view of the otters. Thanks Again Bakri for going out of your way for us.

A great place to enjoy a meal watching the golfers go about their business, you can see Mt Kotakinabalu from the restaurant on a clear day. The Rasa Ria offers a shuttle service and teh food is cheaper than at the resort.
Also one can hit balls into the water, if you are not playing golf.
