We visited Drovers Cave in January. The Cave floor is dry at this time of the year, so thongs are ok to wear. You will need a torch or mobile phone with torch. The Cave is approx 300m in length. It is lovely and cool inside. Once you are in the heart of the Cave it is pitch black. As... More

Well worth the bone shaking corrugations up Cockleshell road to visit these caves. You will need a 4x4 for the final leg to reach this destination but once you are there its very easy to navigate the cave it self. No problem for our family's including young kids, great fun to explore and pitch black in the middle so you... More

We learnt about the caves from the Jurien Bay visitor centre. However we were not prepared as we did not have sufficient torchlight and waterproof shoes. However we still managed to take a quick hike to the entrance of the cave. Very nice and relaxing walk with the small river running the middle of the track. Armed with my 8... More

Had a great time getting out to these caves - the Jurien Bay Tourist office has a map, most of the trip is on good gravel roads however the final 4 or 5 k's are sign posted 4WD only and you do need a 4WD as it does get quite sandy and the track is very narrow in some cases... More

Called into the Jurien Bay visitors centre and was told about these caves. So glad we braved the narrow, sandy 4WD road to reach the caves. We loved exploring the caves - a torch is neceessary - and walking along the dried river course and loop track. The site is well maintained and toilets, picnic tables and information boards are... We drove around for about 100km to try and find the caves. No signs to indicate the turn off. No tourist attraction signs. We gave up.

Drovers Caves are closed to the public permanently and have been for quite some time. Stockyard Gully caves are open and well worth a visit as the reviews of them below will show. The location however is approximately 70km from Jurien Bay and would be quickest to access via Coorow -Greenhead Rd and Cockleshell Gully Rd.

My partner and I did these caves on our drive from Jurien to Kalbarri and im so glad we stopped here! It is a little hard to find so if you don't have clear directions make sure you stop into the Jurien Bay Visitor center to get some clear directions. You also need a 4WD to get out to the... More

Dont forget closed in shoes and a torch. Mind your head as you go through the caves. Easy walking on sand for those worried about balance. Entrance along a creek bed that was also not difficult for those less steady on their feet. You can enjoy the under earth experience without having to navigate ladders and stairs as in most... More
