This trip wasn't as good as I expected. Had a good ride down on a catamaran. The crew on the boat made the trip fun, getting people up and dancing. Stopped at a shallower area with sandy bottom to swim. Got to see a few starfish in the water. They had plenty of drinks and food from the boat to... More

This place was beautiful! We took an excursion there on a speed boat and returned on a catamaran! Well organized and none of the touristy feel! My only complaint was that the "free beer" was essential in cups barely bigger that a shot glass! The massage ladies negotiate so don't pay full price ! Enjoy! We certainly did!!

This is the most ridiculous excursion I have ever taken. Lots of driving and waiting. Getting to a boat that is over loaded and waiting some more. Finally getting to a beautiful shallow water where its waist deep. Getting off the boat to get pictures with starfish they had to pickup before getting to this area, more waiting. Oh by... More

I went with my family to this wonderfull paradise and we totally love it. The pick up time is so early approximately at 7:30AM the will go to BAYAHIBE and later you can take the catamaran or a fast boat for to go to Saona Island. The food and the ppl in this island are amazing. You will enjoy dominican... More

Only problem is you do not have enough time. Lunch provided is very good. Grill fish, chicken and pork with sides and bar included. Bathrooms but no showers.

The island is very nice, especially with the sea. A lot of people arrives and arrives here. Helicopters were flying all the time. Very warm and transparent sea. On the shore a lot of seaweed. Guests can sunbathe, swim, eat, drink, eg. drink straight from the coconut. A little noisy.

We did the Isla Saona by Speedboat and Catamaran, booked through Viator. It was a VERY long day with a lot of time spent on taxi from resort to a gas station. We sat at the gas station for over 30 minutes waiting for the driver to come back. He said, "one minute" and left. He finally came back and... More

So I purchased a 12-hour tour to Isla Saona from my hostel for $75 (I learned later on that they charged more than $100 to people who stayed at the fancy resorts). Because the lovely Carribean people don't really care about "time" or "itinerary", I was picked up at 07:15 and was subsequently transferred to 3 different vans with no... More

Booked this trip with Thomas Cook and whilst it wasn't cheap, it was worth the trip. Plentiful drinks on the catamaran and snack provided. Snorkeling for appx 30 minutes for those that want to....not fabulous fish but better than punta cana....then off to a large natural pool to find giant starfish.....call me cynical but it seemed to be the professional...
