Gran Tarajal is a picturesque town, part industrial, part quaint, typical mediterranean in appearance. We parked up in a large car park for free and walked to the beach in about 10 minutes. The sand is very black so it gets very hot so you...More

Really nice place to spend a day. Two play parks, lots of restaurants and cafes on the beach front. The beach is grey sand but really soft and the sea is warm.

We loved Gran Tarajal and it's beautiful beach. You have to speak Spanish or at least try. Lovely to see the children running freely in the warm evenings and we even experienced a delightful birthday party

It was lovely to walk along the beach here. Gran Tarajal is calmer and quieter than other more touristy towns in Fuerteventura. We found that it wasn't as windy so it did feel a lot hotter here than the beach we normally go to.

Great to show the kids the volcanic black sandy beach, they found it fascinating! Not very touristy, lovely and quiet - great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busier towns.

I would recommend a car if you intend to travel. Main roads are excellent. Use Cicar. We used and they were perfect. If you wantvto explore more remote parts such as certain beaches organised trips are good. If you stay in... More
