We went there on a sunday when usually the locals have their off-day. No wonder it was very overcrowded. The beach was also not sooo clean. Mostly dark sand. I can recommend spice beach instead.

Accessible using tricycle travelling west of Calbayog, 15 minutes beyond airport 100 pesos in either direction. Many beach huts mostly unoccupied but if you choose to sit in one expect a little man to ask for money or ask you to get out!
