Amazing. We took the train from haverthwaite to lakeside and went into the aquarium aswell. It works out cheaper to buy your tickets together then separately. The aquarium was little but perfect for passing the time. Would highly recommend for families

Great trip, old style steam train, really enjoyed it. It was raining quite heavily the day we went but to make sure we could see the scenery, staff were wiping the water off the windows. I'm sure not even British Rail did that!

My brother is non-verbal autistic and is obsessed with steam trains so this attraction appealed greatly - and it didn't disappoint. We spent the whole day going up and down the track (you can get in ten lengths of the track leaving by the first train from Lakeside) using the Rover ticket (£10 each) which was a bargain. The staff... More

Went to the aquarium first. Which was good. Can go in many times. The otters were great! Also the terripins- size was amazing. While there we decided to do the train. Throughly enjoyed it. Journey just long enough and very pretty . The steam going through the tunnel is like stepping back in time! As we had enough time before... More

The kids absolutely loved it and then a... More

Though it's only 3 1/2 mile long, it's a beautiful and very scenic trip! Wonderful stuff, very clean and very well looked after stations! Love it after our first trip! Wonderful day out and fantastic how it links with the boat, though it's all about the train ride! 110% recommend this railway to anyone (enthusiast or not)
