A must go even you're in the area. We arrived a little early, but that was nog problem for Joe. He immediately started telling about the dogs when het let Them out for their morning run. Two other people joined and we all got to see the dogs working, gathering the sheep. Truly amazing how they love to work and... More

Really enjoyed this. Got to hold the puppies and see how a real working dog operates. Very well presented and interesting show.

A visit to JCS is a must see and wonderful experience. Joe is a great guy with a remarkable talent for training these border collies. He is very accommodating and will patiently explain how he communicates with his dogs to gather his sheep from high on the local hills with nothing but whistles and calls. It's incredible to watch. His... More

We must have stopped five or six times on the way here just to take photographs of the incredible scenery you pass just to get there. Once we got there Joe and his lovely little daughter greeted us with a lamb they were bottle feeding, and introduced us to their dogs and gave us an overview of what it is... More

Our tour guide Don Sheeran recommended Joy Joyce and we loved it. Got to play with the little puppies and watch the dogs at work as they rounded up the sheep. Beautiful area and engaging story teller. Well worth the diversion off the main road.

My friend and I found Joe and his dogs by accident when we saw his roadside sign while on a weeklong drive of the Wild Atlantic Way -- turning off to check it out was the best decision we made all trip! The scenery is beautiful and learning about the sheepdogs was fascinating, but the best part was that Joe... More

Just driving into the mountains where these dogs live and work is an adventure in itself. Then you get to see these beautiful animals race to a mountain top in under a minute, to gather sheep, all at the sound of a whistle I could barely hear. . They don't seem to get tired. They don't seem to notice the weather... More

Found this by accident while doing the Wild Atlantic Way and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire trip! It was fascinating to learn about shepherding and the sheep business in ireland, and the demonstration was really really cool. The puppies and gorgeous scenery was the icing on the cake. Can't recommend highly enough!

I enjoyed watching the dogs working. It was very interactive and it was so easy to ask my questions to a local real "person". Someone that live and work in the area. I would love a little curious shop to buy some moments. Toy collies and sheep. A dog whistle etc.

An interesting activity for the entire family. The dogs are superb, the views are excellent and understanding farming life on a small family farm was informative.
