This was a fun trail to see several different varieties of birds, lizards and flowers. The path is easy and requires no special skill. Good time.

We did this overnight tour with Gaviota Tours from Varadero. It was a 4 hour bus ride but was broken up into manageable segments. We went to Santa Clara, Trinidad, Cienfuegos and of course Topes de Collantes. To see the country side was enjoyable, the...More

The best thing is to catch a taxi driver and ask him to take you to the park and wait for you there until you are done. If you take a tour through a company is really expensive and you get the same, or even...More

Took a cab up from Trinidad, cost should be around 20-25 CUC one way. We did the typical Salto de Caburní hike. It is meant to take 45 minutes down and 1.30 hours up but it took us 30 and 40 minutes up and down...More

We had a great time doing this hike! $10 per person admission. Going down takes about 1 hour and coming up about the same, although somehow we rocked it coming up and made it in 45 minutes. The pool is fantastic. Some of the locals...More

We took our 8th graders to Cuba this year, and this was the highlight of the trip for pretty much everybody. You have to go up into the mountains in rickety ATVs (which I like, but just be forewarned). There's a cool place to see...More

It is really in the middle of a hill. If you book hotel here while visiting Trinidad, be careful! There are no signs for the hotels and the road is super dangerous!

Hi Carole. We did it very simply. The doorman at our hotel, the Iberostar Grand Hotel in Trinidad, called a taxi for us. He drove us to the start point, passing a high Mirador (viewing point) on the way. He asked if we... More
