What a peaceful and relaxing activity to do. The cruise is only a few hours and you get to see a part of the Maribyrnong River that you do usually see. This a great activity for anyone to do especially tourists.

In peaceful rustic settings the 2 hour up river trip is a chilled out journey reliving the past heavy industrial scene that once dominated the Maribrynong River. The old Blackbird ferry and the river are as one with each other, as it's plied up and...More

For $20 you can spend 2 hours going up the river to Essendon area and get a great commentary and a unique perspective on Melbourne. Some great photography to be had. Highly recommend for the tourist looking for things off the main road.

I contacted Captain Warwick by email. His response was quick, informative and very inviting. I chartered the Blackbird for 20 people on a Saturday afternoon. I think it was the maximum number I could imagine, although the Captain says it holds 30. People were able...More
