The shrine of Lord Mallikarjuna picturesquely situated on a flat top of Nallamalai Hills, Srisailam is reputed to be one of the most ancient kshetras in India. It is on the right side of the River Krishna in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. This celebrated mountain is also named as Siridhan, Srigiri, Sirigiri, Sriparvatha and Srinagam. It has been a popular centre of Saivite pilgrimage for centuries.

When I went to the temple it was amazing that very nice scenery and the temple was beautiful and I thought of staying few more days but we don't had a chance and the god is very powerful and it is one of the jyothirlingam

Our visit to Mallikarjuna jyotirlinga was long overdue. We finally made it on 19th Nov 16. Travelled from Mumbai by morning flight reaching Hyderabad by 9 am. Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple is famous and very crowded on Monday. You will find dust everywhere and not at all maintained. Temple is getting crores of money every day/week but no facilities. It's a good temple but lot of business is going around it. Lot of people come on weekends from Telengana and Andhra Pradesh. It has 3 queue FREE 100 RUPEES and 500 RUPEES and 1500 rupees. We recently visited Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple. We went there in the evening. Aarti was from 7 to 8 pm so you may avoid that time. They stop darshan during that time.
